VISION BOARD PARTY

I finally had my Vision Board party and it was so much fun!  Twelve lovely ladies showed up and we had an amazing time.  The party was stocked with magazines, scissors, glue, poster/cork boards and most importantly...SANGRIA!  It was amazing sharing our life goals and dreams.

I went with a bit of a Kate Spade theme.  Who has more positive quotes on their brand than Kate Spade?

My vision board was covered in this lovely polka dot fabric (tutorial coming soon).

My fellow blogger and friend Vardouhi (aka Figs On Top) made these delicious lemon raspberry cupcakes. She has the most amazing recipes!

I had an amazing Sangria set up.  My best friend made the sangria...I really need to ask her for that recipe.  How amazing are these mason jars with chalk labels I found at Ross?  I used regular chalk to write all the girls' names, but next time I need to use a chalk pen because as we served the sangria into the jars I kept erasing the names.

Here are all the ladies working on their vision boards.

All the boards came out great.  Take a look at some of the finished products!

And this is mine!

Last but not least, this was my outfit for the party.

I hope all the ladies had an amazing time because I know I did!  We did promise that we would make this an annual event so that we can see all the things we have accomplished from our vision boards.  So I can't wait until next year!

BLACK JUMPSUIT (For a club?)

My little sister is turning 21 and we are taking her to Vegas.  I am being forced to go to a night club which I NEVER do anymore.  Not because I'm too old, tired, exhausted, fat...nope, nothing like that ;-)  I want to look cute but also comfortable so I think this is the perfect outfit.  Not to slutty, not too grandma'ish.  Now I am just wondering how I will be able to take the jumpsuit off to pee after drinking too much champagne because it is Vegas after all!

WHAT IS UNDER YOUR FAUCET?

Yesterday I was doing the dishes and noticed that the spray was only half working.  There were spots where there was no water coming out.  So I looked under there and this is what I saw.  So gross!!!

I remembered a trick that my cleaning lady taught me with my shower head.  She puts white vinegar in a plastic bag, ties it around the shower head and leaves it there for an hour or so.  So I decided to do the same thing.  Except my faucet pulls out so I was able to just lay it in a plastic container like this.

This is the type of white vinegar I use.

After I removed the faucet from the white vinegar, I noticed that most of the "gunk" had fallen off but there was still some left.  I scrubbed off the rest with a little brush like this one.

Look how clean it looks now!

And now ALL the water sprays out evenly. YAY!!!!

I guess the old saying applies here, out of sight out of mind!  I definitely need to clean this more often.  I mean, just look at the difference!

I need to go clean some more now. Byeeeeee!

LITTLE BLACK AND WHITE DRESSES

I am going to Vegas at the end of the month for my baby sister's 21st birthday!!! How cute are these black and white dresses? Four of them are for clubbing and the other two are for the pool.  Which one is your favorite?

PRESS FOR CHAMPAGNE DIY

I have been seeing these "Press For Champagne" frames all over Pinterest and Instagram and I thought they were absolutely fabulous.  I knew it would be the perfect accessory to my bar cart.  I tried looking on Etsy for them and guess what?  They are pricey!  I saw them between $40 and $60.  That's just crazy!  So I decided to make my own and now I am going to show YOU how!

SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED:

You are going to need to buy a pretty frame that fits your decor.  I bought mine for $6 at TJ Maxx.

You have to make sure that the frame has a hook in the back to hang.  (Yuck! Just noticed how dirty the back of that frame is.)

I tried looking for a silver doorbell because everything in my kitchen is stainless steel, but I found nothing like what I had seen in the pictures.  I ended up ordering this one for $6.19 on Amazon and I actually liked that the bronze color stood out.

I used card stock paper to print the "Press for Champagne" background.

I put hot glue on the back of the door bell and then glued it to the center of the frame.  I had some glue overflow to the edges but I caught it while it was still warm enough and I  was able to push it back in.

TA-DA!

I can't believe how easy this was to make and I only ended up spending around $13!  Doesn't it look perfect above my bar cart?
