So yesterday I celebrated being at my job for 2 years.  I LOOOOOOVE MY JOB!  No really, I love it.   I feel like I work in paradise.  First of all, I work with my husband.  We don't work in the same department, but we do work on the same floor.  We get to carpool, take breaks together and best of all we get to have lunch together every day.  As parents of two toddlers I think this is what we enjoy the most.  Uninterrupted meals???  Yes please!  Second, I work in Downtown Los Angeles, CA in a gorgeous high-rise building.  The views are amazing!  I can see the Hollywood sign and Dodger Stadium from my desk.  How awesome is that?  Third, I actually like working in an office.  I like the atmosphere, the people, and having my own little desk.  I know, I am so weird.  Finally,  I love what I do.  My job is super fun and easy except for two very crazy months.  I go to work every single day with a smile and leave with one too.  How many of you can say that?

I have to say that one of my favorite things about working in an office is decorating my desk. I have been obsessed with stationary, journals, office supplies and pens since I was little.  Going school supply shopping was so cool and exciting to me.  I couldn't wait to start writing in those fresh new notebooks.  NERD ALERT!  It's no wonder I buy a new journal every time I'm at TJ Maxx or Home Goods.  I need to stop, but they are all soon pretty!

Here are a few essentials for your desk at work or at home.

Shopping for work shoes is my favorite.  Especially when I am feeling fat and I don't feel like shopping for clothes.  Shoes always make me feel better.  One of my favorite things about my job is getting to dress up every day.  Having shoes to match all my work outfits is very important, but I also can't spend a lot on them.  I tend to find most of my work shoes at H&M and Forever 21.  Here are some other options to choose from.  Hope you like them! I have been searching for nude pumps for a while now and those H&M ones are perf!

What is a vision board?

A vision board is a collage of pictures, phrases, words or items that represent you and your goals.  I have been making collages since I was a teenager.  I once covered my entire bedroom wall with pictures of all the celebrities I had crushes on...Enrique Iglesias (duh), New Kids on the Block, Marky Mark, Ricky Martin.  My mom was not very happy, but I thought I was SO cool!  So a vision board is pretty much just a collage, but of things you want.

There are so many ways to create your own vision board.  I have seen some vision boards where people have different sections, but I just put stuff everywhere randomly! I add pictures of bodies I want mine to look like, home products I want, shoes, bags, places I want to travel to and inspiration words like "health" "love" "LOSE WEIGHT" (that's a big one for me LOL)

What you will need:

*Tacks (I always find the cutest tacks in the dollar section at Target), glue dots or tape
*Framed cork board (I found mine at Target, but I have seen so many cute ones at TJ Maxx and Home Goods)
*Magazines (Fashion, Life, Home, Tabloids, Health, etc.), pictures, books, drawings or clippings

My vision board:

I took a few things off mine because I got them already. Yay for me!  I took off the picture of the Kitchen Aid Mixer I wanted, a new bed, a picture of Cabo San made me SO giddy to see that I accomplished all those things!  So now I have a few empty spots I need to fill but here is a picture of my work in progress:

Here are some other vision board pictures I found:

So now...go get some wine, turn on your favorite Pandora station and start working on your vision board. I would love to see pictures and hear what you put on your vision board. Actually, this post has inspired me to have a vision board party. Can't wait to show you all pictures!

Happy Hump Day everyone!  In honor of National Wine Day, here is my Wednesday Wish List.   All items relate to wine (and one with champagne).  The best part is that all items are under $100 except for the wine fridge, but even that is only $165!  I am actually dieting right now and wine isn't allowed for another three weeks, but I think I drank enough wine on Valentine's Day until the three weeks are over LOL  My favorite wine ever is  Esser Cabernet, but it is SO hard to find.  My sister got me a bottle for Christmas and I still haven't opened it.  I am waiting for a VERY special occassion.  What is your favorite wine?

My husband and I are trying to be healthier and lose some weight so we are doing the South Beach diet.  It has worked for us before and we both love it.  I actually don't like eggs but my husband loves them.  This recipe for egg muffins is one of his favorites.  They are incredibly easy to make and even easier to take to work every day.

{Serving size: One dozen}

6 large eggs
2 bell peppers (diced)
3-4 slices of turkey (chopped)
8 slices of salami (chopped)
1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
garlic salt, pepper & seasoning to taste

Honestly, you could pretty much add anything you enjoy in your eggs...the possibilities are endless!!!

I cheated and used pre-shredded Kraft cheese because I was rushed for time and this cheese just expired yesterday so I need to get rid of it.

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.  Whisk all ingredients in a mixing bowl (I used my mixer because I was lazy and because I try to use it any excuse I get).

3. Place cupcake liners in your muffin tin and coat with non stick spray.  I have tried to go without the cupcake liners but the egg stuck to my muffin tins and it took forever to get it out.  Also, I use these cupcake liners that are cardboard as opposed to the thin cupcake liners because the thin ones stick to the muffins and you will be eating paper along with your muffins!

I use an ice cream scoop to fill the cupcake liners a little over halfway with the egg mixture.

4.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.  I usually watch for the tops of the muffins to start browning a little.

I let them cool and then pack them in sandwich bags for the week.  I stick one bag in the fridge for the next day and the rest in the freezer.

I usually make these on a Sunday so that I can have them ready for the week.  My husband likes to eat three each morning so they only last him 4 days.  This is a great way to have breakfast ready for him every day, it's so full of protein and it is fully South Beach approved for Phase 1 as well.

I'd love to hear how your egg muffins turn out and I'd love to hear if you have any other South Beach approved recipes.  Have a great week everyone!

Anastasia Steele - Casual

The day has finally come! Fifty Shades of Grey was released today and man am I excited to go see this movie.  I am even dragging my lovely husband with me to go watch it.  Has anyone else gone to see it yet?  I am dying to see what everyone thought of it.

In the meantime, here is an outfit inspired by Miss Anastasia Steele.
