I loooooove planning parties so needless to say, I started planning my daughter's first birthday when she was only weeks old. I spent a lot of time (and money), but I had so much fun planning it. I got most of my ideas from Pinterest of course.
The cake table was my favorite part of the entire party. I bought a huge piece of plywood at Home Depot and covered it with fabric. That served as my background. I then used a mirror that I bought at Target and added the Barbie silhouette that I ordered from Etsy.
The hot chocolate bar was the most popular. I don't know if it was because it was so cold or because of the Baileys...
This was a huge hit! All the kids loved getting in it and taking pictures with all the props.
I made these cupcakes myself thanks to the baking skills I acquired at the Dog Bakery I worked at for a year.
Thanks to my amazing baker Yesenia for this beautiful cake.
I made a few fabulous updates to my daughter's room. She was so excited and said everything looked "AMAZING!"
I had this collage board that I had bought at Ross a few years ago in my home office, but I was tired of it collecting random papers and junk. It worked perfectly for all her bows, ribbons, headbands and sunglasses.
This next update is my absolute favorite. I saw the idea on Pinterest a few weeks ago, but I had to look for the box with all my Tiffany bags in it (I have at least 20 different sized bags).
I love that they are cute, but they also double as small storage! I stuck a few thumb tacks on the inside of each bag. Obviously you can't put very heavy things in there, but it works for all the random small things she has laying around in her room.
When we moved into our house three years ago, I was NINE months pregnant and I was due in two weeks. Needless to say I wasn't too organized and we ended up unpacking as fast as possible.
This is what my pantry looked like after three years of not having any organization system whatsoever.
I couldn't take it anymore so I went out to several stores and stocked up on containers and labels. I found most of my items at TJ Maxx and some at the Dollar Tree. I threw away so much expired food that had just been sitting at the back of the pantry for who knows how long. Yuck!
Here are my after pictures:
I have so much more room now! I am able to find everything easier and the kids loooove being able to get their own snacks.
